The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has received a $100,000 donation from Citadel, writes Donna Rovins for The Pottstown Mercury.

Half of the donation came from the inaugural Citadel Country Spirit USA music festival held in August. The other half was donated as a corporate match by Citadel.

Citadel CEO Jeff March praised the work of CHOP.

“Thank you to everyone at CHOP for everything that you do each and every minute,” he said. “Your hearts are in the right place, and we’re there with you.”

Citadel sponsored the music festival at Ludwig’s Corner in Glenmoore. Among the headliners were Alabama, Toby Keith, and Brad Paisley.

According to March, Citadel’s relationship with CHOP will continue and expand. The company has already signed on as presenting sponsor for CHOP’s Walk on the Parkway in Philadelphia next fall.
