Publisher’s note: Our first post on Andiario, West Chester’s newest and hottest restaurant, published on October 5th, drew 10,899 visitors.

Andiario in West Chester is already making a name for itself, placing 12th among the Top 50 restaurants in Philadelphia, according to a new list published by Philadelphia magazine.

The Italian restaurant is run by chef Anthony Andiario, who handles the kitchen, along with his girlfriend Maria van Schaijik, who handles the front. The restaurant opened earlier this year to rave reviews.

Diners seem to be enjoying the amount of care, detail, and heart the chef puts into every plate. The favorites seem to be the pastas, the chef’s true passion. There are usually at least three pasta options on the menu, which changes daily or weekly. However, all of them are handmade from locally sourced grains.

Despite its recent opening at 106 West Gay Street, the restaurant has already gained the reputation of having one of the friendliest dining rooms in the region.

However, the well-earned hype has also made it much harder to score a table.
