Dennis Davin, Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Community and Economic Development, enjoyed a tour of West Chester led by Business Improvement District Executive Director Malcolm Johnstone during a recent visit to the county seat, writes Bill Rettew for the Daily Local News.

The Wolf Administration official was also joined on the tour by West Chester Mayor Dianne Herrin and State Sen. Andy Dinniman. And State Rep. Carolyn Comitta happily showed off the area’s many community development and revitalization projects.

This was Davin’s first visit to the fastest-growing borough in the state.

“West Chester is working to bring people into town and in turn keeping them here,” he said. “Your university grads get jobs and stay here and live in town. All seems to be working together. I love West Chester. I’m a big fan of smaller towns.”
