Meridian Bank Names New Chief Information Officer

Randy J. McGarry has joined Meridian Bank, an innovative community bank based in Malvern that offers a full suite of financial products and services, as its chief information officer.

McGarry is an experienced CIO with an extensive background in technology architecture, banking integration, and project management. Bringing more than 25 years of experience to his role at Meridian, he is responsible for executing operational solutions aligned with corporate strategy.

“We are excited to welcome Randy to the executive team at Meridian,” said CEO Chris Annas. “Randy strengthens our outstanding operations and IT team and further verifies the importance that great technology and process has at Meridian. His experience in building bank infrastructure and overseeing bank combinations will play a critical role in our continued growth.”

McGarry served for six years as CIO for a NASDAQ-listed bank holding company in Hatboro with assets exceeding $1.2 billion. He was responsible for creating a technology plan to support the corporate strategic plan while being flexible, scalable, and increasing efficiencies.

Prior to that, McGarry served three years as the CIO of a $5.5 billion financial institution that offered financial and investment planning services until it was acquired. During this tenure, McGarry focused his technical and operational leadership on increasing efficiency, maximizing resources, and improving the customer experience.

McGarry holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State and an MBA from Drexel.
