QVC Files Amended Civil Complaint Against Former Marketing Director

James Falkowski, the former marketing director for QVC, may face additional allegations after already being convicted for embezzling $1 million from the company, writes Sam Wood for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Last week, QVC filed an amended civil complaint alleging that the former director conspired with a public relations company to secure cash kickbacks.

The home shopping network originally filed suit, alleging fraud and conspiracy, two years ago. However, QVC’s case was put on hold after the federal government began prosecuting Falkowski on criminal charges.

Falkowski, who worked at QVC’s headquarters in West Chester from 2008 to 2013, pled guilty in July to 11 counts of wire fraud and was scheduled to start serving a 30-month sentence on Sept. 14.
