As part of its President’s Speaker Series, West Chester University will welcome publishing executive and financial guru Steve Forbes to the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8 PM.

Forbes is the esteemed Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media, and an internationally respected authority in the world of economics and finance. He is one of the most sought-after speakers on economic issues and is at the forefront of economic debates around the world. He will offer long-standing insights about corporate leadership, capitalism, and the free market.

Forbes’s visit is part of the President’s Speaker Series, formerly known as the Philips Lecture Series. The Philips Lecture Series was originally funded through an endowment created by George Morris Philips, WCU’s president from 1881-1920. According to Philips’s will, the endowment would be used for student scholarships and “for bringing to the college distinguished scientists, scholars, or statesmen.”

The series is now funded through the WCU Foundation. Past speakers include Jane Pauley, Linda Ronstadt, Bob Woodward, Elie Wiesel, and Maya Angelou, among many others.

Orchestra tickets are $27 and balcony tickets are $22. Click here to reserve your ticket or call 610-436-2266.
