Natural Lands and West Vincent Township plan to open large parts of Bryn Coed Farms in northern Chester County to the public, writes Michael Rellahan for the Daily Local News.

According to Molly Morrison, president of Natural Lands, the organization will most likely have a dry run or a soft opening for the public preserve sometime this fall.

At the end of last month, the land conservation group transferred more than 70 acres of the property to West Vincent Township for a park.

“We are very pleased with the way that the project has progressed,” said Morrison. “We are looking forward to having the property available and accessible to the public.”

The new park will include a loop trail that connects to the larger trail system being established on the adjacent nature preserve by Natural Lands.

“Protecting this property has long been a concern of our residents. All will now enjoy the benefit of this open space and trails,” said John Jacobs, chairman of the township’s supervisors.
