March of Dimes has officially announced the individuals who will be honored in the fields of health, business, and public service at its 2018 Chester County Salute to Women of Achievement, a formal dinner on Oct. 17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square.

Dana Heiman (health), JoAnn Magnatta (business), and Susan Boardman (public service) were nominated by their peers for their exemplary commitment to community through volunteer service and excellence in their fields.

Heiman – the Senior Vice President at the Brandywine Health Foundation, where she has worked since 2003 – has served a number of roles in the nonprofit sector for more than 25 years. She leads the Foundation’s annual grantmaking process, engaging a committee of 14 board and community members and overseeing data collection, proposal reviews, site visits, and program evaluations.

Magnatta, who has been Main Line Health’s Senior Vice President of Facilities Design and Construction/Real Estate since 2001, has served in the healthcare industry for more than a quarter-century. At Main Line Health, she oversees the design, construction, and maintenance of seven million square feet of real estate, including four acute care hospitals, one rehab hospital, a drug and alcohol treatment facility, and several major outpatient sites.

Boardman, the Internships and Partnerships Leader at the Downingtown STEM Academy, is responsible for providing real-life experiences for students gained from internships in the community. Her role is to coordinate community outreach and business relationships to support these internships and the students’ and the Academy’s needs.
