Here’s How Much Money Valley Forge Park Generated Last Year for the Local Economy
A new study by the National Park Service shows that tourism to Valley Forge National Historical Park brought in $39.9 million in economic benefits to the community last year, writes Justin Heinze for the Norristown Patch.
Around 2.1 million visitors spent $26.8 million in communities close to the park, directly supporting around 426 jobs in 2017.
According to the study, the spending was highest in three main sectors, restaurants at $11.2 million, retail at $4.4 million, and hotels at $3.3 million.
