Phoenixville resident Ryan Klauder and West Chester resident Christopher Muth, both students at Devon Prep, were lauded at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) Philadelphia Investor Panel Event for their ideas that could raise money and awareness for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, according to a report in The Phoenix Reporter & Item.

Klauder and Muth presented their business idea – Rex Riccardi, which would create pocket squares that raise awareness and money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand – in front of representatives from some of the biggest companies in the area.

Each of the 11 participating businesses formed by 16 students in grades six through 12 had five minutes to pitch their business plans. The investor panel of judges decided on the amount to allocate to each business based on the appeal and merit of their plans and their presentation.

Klauder and Muth’s business was selected to advance to the Young Entrepreneurs Academy Saunders Scholars National College Scholarship competition. There, the pair will compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships, a fast-track application to appear on Shark Tank, and a chance to attend America’s Small Business Summit in Washington, D.C.
