West Chester BID Partners with StreamGeeks to Provide Businesses with Live Streaming

By

The West Chester Business Improvement District (BID) has partnered with StreamGeeks to provide downtown small businesses with live streaming services.

Through the partnership, the West Chester BID is helping small businesses in retail, fashion, and food services. It’s leveraging the power of Facebook live streaming to increase both customer traffic and sales for businesses.

“This is a great idea that worked out so well,” said Malcolm Johnstone, Executive Director of the West Chester BID. “We are helping small businesses get their word out in a quality fashion.”

StreamGeeks is a live-streaming group that hosts a weekly live broadcast from its base in downtown West Chester. It has put together professional live streams from several local businesses over the last few months, including the Old Soul Decor, Tesoro, and the Split Rail Tavern.

“We are so happy to see our local Business Improvement District supporting small business on social media,” said Paul Richards, Chief Streaming Officer for StreamGeeks.

“Once the live stream is over, it becomes a core piece of content business owners are able to pin to the top of their business Facebook pages and use for years to come.”
