LiquidHub, a tech company based in Wayne, has been purchased by Capgemini, a Paris-based global consulting tech firm, writes Michelle Caffrey for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The deal is worth roughly $500 million or about twice LiquidHub’s annual revenues, which are estimated at $248 million.

LiquidHub employs more than 2,000 people worldwide. About 600 of those employees work at its headquarters in Wayne.

Founded in 2000, LiquidHub is a digital customer engagement company that covers all aspects of “digital transformation,” including customer data analytics, strategy, platform design, and management.

LiquidHub had been on an aggressive acquisition strategy, including the addition of the 1,000-person global data management and analytics company Annik in December 2016. CEO Jonathan Brassington said at the time that its acquisitions were mostly funded by free cash flow and traditional bank financing.

“LiquidHub’s passion to help clients uncover new ways to engage with their customers, supported by robust digital expertise and a strong track record in complex technology execution, was a natural fit with the end-to-end digital services that Capgemini provides enterprises around the world,” said Capgemini CEO Paul Hermelin.
