Single Americans looking to improve their chance at love should head to Pennsylvania, according to a new report that ranks the Keystone State among the Top Five states for singles.
WalletHub released its report on 2018’s Best & Worst States for Singles, which compares the 50 states on dating-friendliness, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
They were measured in three main categories: Dating Economics, Dating Opportunities, and Romance & Fun. The 27 metrics also included things like the number of single adults, the cost of seeing a movie, and nightlife options.
Pennsylvania ranked fifth overall, proving that when it comes to dating, this is the place to be. Its best showing was in the Romance & Fun category, where Pennsylvania ranked fourth. Dating opportunities were also high at seventh, but its overall score was brought down by ranking just 34th in Dating Economics.
In other metrics, Pennsylvania did best in Restaurants per Capita, ranking fifth. It also checked in at ninth in Movie Theaters per Capita and 10th in Crime Rate.
Finally, Pennsylvania ranked 18th in both Percent of Single Adults and Gender Balance of Singles. However, the state was 30th in both Online-Dating Opportunities and Mobile-Dating.
