Celebrate National Margarita Day in Style!
Today is National Margarita Day.
With the winning combination of tequila, triple sec, lime or lemon juice, it is no wonder Margarita’s are the nation’s favorite tequila-based cocktail.
The legends of the Margarita’s origin are many, but there are a few things that never change. One, the key ingredient is always tequila, and the rim of the glass is always edged with salt.
The salt comes from the Mexican tradition to drink tequila in one shot, then suck on a lime wedge and lick salt from the back of your hand.
One of the first recipes for margarita was printed in Esquire magazine in December 1953 issue as its “Drink of the Month”. The recipe called for one ounce of tequila, a dash of triple sec, and the juice of half a lime or lemon.
To help celebrate this national day, pick up the ingredients and mix yourself a margarita in a professional cocktail shaker and pour it into a special margarita glass set.

If you have to drive or would rather skip alcohol on a work day, showcase your margarita pride with a national margarita day shirt.
Whether it is with a drink or in a t-shirt, take a picture of it and post it on social media with #NationalMargaritaDay tag.
