The StreamGeeks, a popular live-streaming team that moved into a new office in downtown West Chester last month, is now airing weekly videos on both YouTube and Facebook on Mondays at 2 PM.

Its new office on the corner of Darlington and Market streets has been fitted with the latest in live-streaming technology.

“The show has grown significantly in the past few months and our goal is to use this momentum to create something very special,” said Paul Richards, Chief Streaming Officer for the StreamGeeks. “Our entire office has been outfitted with the latest (equipment).”

The show has published a new guide for live streamers. It helps users “hack” the algorithm that YouTube uses to determine which videos go to the top of the search page. The broadcast reviews the most important parts of the algorithm, and shows how live streaming is beneficial when aiming for a high ranking in search results.

“Everyone knows that YouTube’s search engine has been built to deliver the most relevant content to its users,” said Richards. “But what makes YouTube’s algorithm decide that one video is more relevant than another? That’s what we review in our YouTube Algorithm Hacking Guide.”
