There’s a reason – well, several reasons – why the Chester County Economic Development Council has been enlisting the services of Joe Warner and his staff at 20/10 Solutions, a full-service design and marketing agency in West Chester, for more than a decade.

“Joe understands the capacity of a nonprofit,” said Marybeth DiVincenzo, the CCEDC’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “He’s able to help us within our parameters. He knows what’s new and edgy, and offers his opinions in a way that helps us sort through what we can and can’t do.”

Last year, the CCEDC opted for, in lieu of print, a digital version of its Annual Review. In addition to the creation of a special website, the CCEDC also disseminated a brochure that functioned as a summary of the Annual Review.

The decision to go electronic was met with rave reviews.

“Our clients are diverse,” said DiVincenzo. “Having a print piece as a companion to the website version was a great option for us. It enabled us to leave something in their hands.”

“By going digital, we’ve expanded our capacity for storytelling,” said Leslie Rylke, the CCEDC’s Marketing and Creative Services Manager. “The ability to include more photography and add videos has helped us paint a broader picture and tell a more robust story.”

For Warner and his staff, the CCEDC is an easy client to work with.

“It’s exciting to work with the CCEDC team who work tirelessly every day to ensure the economic growth of Chester County,” said Joe Warner, 20/10’s CEO. “Being a business owner in Chester County for 17 years, it has been a wonderful opportunity to partner with them again this year on their Annual Review.”

In order to put together the Annual Review, the content had to be categorized and streamlined.

“The design process begins with the end user in mind,” said Warner. “In this case, all the information has to be delivered quickly and on point, so the experience (of browsing a website or reading a brochure) can happen faster.

“CCEDC is a great partner because they trust us to listen to their need, deliver on their vision, and offer opportunities to measure their efforts. Mr. Rogers, a fellow Pittsburgh native, would say ‘We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility.’ Rogers believed deeply that other people’s problems were also, on some level, his problems.

“I have always followed this thinking. Regardless of whether we’re doing work for a Fortune 500, a mom-and-pop, or a nonprofit, we take on our client’s mission and work hard for them to deliver their message the right way. When you work together, the result is always better.”
