Immaculata University ranks highest among Chester County’s institutions of higher education, according to the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings.

The ranking is based on a survey of 200,000 current students. It includes performance indicators to provide the answers that matter most to students and their families when deciding on their next educational step.

The survey examines a range of key issues, such as student engagement with their studies and their interaction with professors.

The rankings use 15 individual performance indicators to create the overall score. These are divided into four key areas: Resources, Engagement, Outcomes, and Environment. Environment accounts for 10 percent of the overall score, with Engagement worth 20 percent, Resources 30 percent, and Outcomes 40 percent.

Immaculata ranks between No. 501 and No. 600, with its highest score in Resources at 383.

West Chester University ranks between No. 601 and No. 800 with strong scores in Outcomes at 445 and Engagement at 491. Lincoln University is in the same bracket, with its best showing in Resources at 390.
