To the dismay of the many customers who visited the store regularly, the Sam’s Club in Exton has permanently closed its doors, writes Brian McCullough for the Daily Local News.

“I’ll miss this store a lot,” said Subhash Kumar Baitha, who runs a Lukoil gas station in West Chester. “It will be missed a lot by small businesses in this area.”

Members who recently visited the store were given flyers that encouraged them to visit the Willow Grove store in the future.

“After a careful and thoughtful review process, we’ve made the difficult but important decision to close our Exton, Pa., Sam’s Club location effective June 30, 2017,” said Tara Raddohl from corporate communications at Walmart, which owns Sam’s Club.

She said that about 120 people will be affected by the store’s closure. They will receive 60 days’ pay and will be considered for available positions at other locations owned by Walmart.
