Ed Auble – the owner of Auble Financial and a two-time president of the Paoli Business and Professional Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating economic and cultural vitality in the Paoli community – traveled to Corsica, an island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of the 18 regions of France, in April.

Auble was invited to Corsica by its president, Gilles Simeoni, for two days of meetings with his executive council and others to help establish business and cultural ties between Corsica and southeastern Pennsylvania.

Paoli is named after General Pasquale di Paoli, a Corsican patriot and leader who liberated the country in 1755 and wrote the first democratic constitution in Europe. The American constitution was based, in part, on the principals declared by General Paoli in his constitution.

The PBPA is taking the lead in making connections between the two countries.
