Ahead of Berkeley and Bloomington, West Chester Ranks No. 1 in Nation on This List

WCU grads have it made. There’s no better college town to live in after graduation than West Chester, according to a new national ranking.

Finding a place to start a career after college is a daunting task, but it doesn’t get any better than in West Chester.

The setting for West Chester University is the top nationwide choice among the 20 Best College Towns to Live in After Graduation, according to RentCollegePads.com.

Judged against other small towns where the college makes up a big portion of the population, West Chester came out on top based on:

  • its ultra-low 2.9 percent unemployment rate for graduates 25-29 years old
  • a substantial 10.18 percent of its population age 25-34 with a degree
  • a high-paying $49,079 median income with a bachelor’s degree

“(WCU) students rave about the parades and food festivals you’ll frequently find in town,” the article stated.

And WCU grads have access to great jobs from top employers like Communications Test Design Inc., VWR International, and DePuy Synthes.
