By

Lisa Reynolds Smoots

The Church Farm School has appointed Lisa Reynolds Smoots as its Director of Admissions.

She will assume her new duties on July 1.

In her role, Smoots will work with CFS administration and the admissions team to generate new student inquiries to the school.

She will also play a key role in representing the school and its mission of supporting underserved young men from around the world to the broader community, and facilitating CFS’s relationships with feeder programs and schools.

“On top of her wonderful experience in admissions work, what draws us most to Lisa is her thoughtful presence and demonstrated leadership within the independent school community,” said Head of School Rev. Ned Sherrill.

“She has a deep passion for and commitment to the students we serve, knows our recruitment areas well, and has a vision commensurate with our long-standing mission to provide opportunity.

“We are incredibly excited to be welcoming Lisa to the Church Farm School community.”

Smoots is currently Director of Admission and Enrollment Management at The Cathedral School of St. John the Divine in New York City, where she has worked since 2010. She has previously served other independent schools, including Princeton Day School and George School in Bucks County.

Smoots received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Penn.
