Evolve IP, a Wayne-based cloud computing company, has ensured that its office offers both a healthy and fun environment for its employees, writes Clara Lefton for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Evolve IP’s 270,000-square-foot office at 989 Old Eagle School Road has several fun and innovative additions, including a table which doubles as a white board and an arcade.

The company also pays special attention to seating arrangements. In addition to more traditional rolling chairs, balance balls can be used as potential desk chairs, and standing desks can be accompanied by a balance board.

Evolve IP’s president and founding partner reviewed suggestions by several professional designers, but in the end, he and his staff opted to create their own plan. The entire office is on one floor with an open office plan and no enclosed offices, not even for top management.

“It took some collaborative selling and meetings,” said Guy Fardone. But once everybody settled in, nobody even considered going back to the old environment.

“We get so many more things done quicker and more effectively because of the open office environment,” he said.
