DiGiorgio, a banking and finance attorney and partner at Stradley Ronon, edged GOP General Counsel Lawrence Tabas of Philadelphia, 173-171, and will succeed Rob Gleason, who has held the position since 2006.

“I am thrilled to be meeting and serving our party as our State Chairman in this exciting time,” DiGiorgio told VISTA Today. “Who would have thought that when I started out as a young Republican in South Philadelphia over 30 years (ago) that I would have become State Chairman someday?

“As for Chester County, being Party Chairman has been the greatest honor of my lifetime. I will continue on as Chairman until our leadership team has determined the appropriate time for a transition. We have an outstanding committee and a great team of elected officials, donors, and other activities. I am sure the Chester County GOP will continue to enjoy great success.”
