Seven women litigators from the Exton office of Fox Rothschild recently presented “Contract Drafting from a Litigator’s Perspective” to 65 business women from the networking group Bizzy Mamas. The presentation, held at the Drexelbrook Catering and Special Events Center in Drexel Hill, covered a myriad of issues surrounding effective contract drafting.

Fox Rothschild’s Stephanie Nolan Deviney, Melissa E. Scott, Jennifer J. Hanlin, Ashley L. Beach, Alicia S. Luke, Danielle E. Ryan, and Elizabeth G. Hodgson spoke on the panel.

Barclay Friends

Carol Hanson, Executive Director at Barclay Friends in West Chester, will retire June 30, after leading the organization for more than 25 years. Barclay Friends is a not-for-profit, retirement community offering services that include residential living, personal care, memory care, skilled nursing, and post-acute rehabilitation.

“Carol’s leadership has been critical to the outstanding care provided at Barclay Friends,” Board Chair Richard Schramm said. “Her commitment to the quality of life of those living at Barclay Friends has inspired residents, their families, staff, and the outside community.”

Major milestones that Carol’s leadership at Barclay Friends has influenced include:

  • Affiliation with the Kendal Corporation
  • Construction of a state-of-the-art community in the borough of West Chester
  • Medicare and Medicaid certifications
  • Joint Commission accreditation, which exemplifies the highest standards for quality and safety

Stephen P. Herbert, Chairman and CEO of Malvern’s USA Technologies, was recently honored as a Future 50 award winner in the Philadelphia market by SmartCEO magazine.

Sixty Greater Philadelphia companies were recognized for their fast growth, determined by a three-year average of employee and revenue numbers. The 2017 Future 50 winners collectively generate nearly $4.84 billion in annual revenue, and employ 25,272 individuals in the Greater Philadelphia area.
