Malvern Prep Hires Monsignor Bonner Grad as New Head of School

malvern-prepMalvern Prep has chosen Rev. Donald F. Reilly, the leader of an Augustinian prep school in Atlantic County, N.J., as its new head of school, writes Martha Woodall for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Reilly, who is currently serving as president and CEO of St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, will take over as the 14th head of the private Catholic school for boys on July 1.

A graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Upper Darby who possesses an undergraduate degree from Villanova, he will be succeeding Christian Talbot, who is resigning at the end of the school year due to family-related issues.

Reilly is already looking forward to his new position, where he will be “continuing Malvern’s exciting academic journey of innovation.”

Steve Cloetingh, chair of Malvern Prep’s board, also noted that Reilly is the perfect new leader for the educational institution.

“Three months ago, Malvern launched a highly consultative search process that identified the ideal qualities and experience of our next head of school,” he said. “Father Reilly possesses every one of the personal, leadership, and academic qualities identified.”
