before-after-bluebirddistillingJared Adkins, distiller and owner of Bluebird Distilling in Phoenixville, has bounded into the region’s craft distilling scene with an impressive young Four Grain Bourbon, writes Craig LaBan for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The bourbon gives off a scent of charred oak from its small aging barrel, interspersed with the edgy green fruit aromas of a spirit that is still close to the original grain.

Despite only being aged 15 months, Adkins artfully compensates with a combination of grains which brings a fascinating balance to the spirit. Not only that, but he is able to achieve all this from just one distillation to ensure maximum flavor.
