bentley-logoFor a $54 million investment and a $76 million stake in Bentley Systems, the Exton developer of industrial design and facilities construction software is plugging Siemens Medical Solutions directly into its work.

“Siemens says virtually all Siemens divisions – including Energy Management, Power Generation, Building Technology, and Mobility – will now use Bentley software to collect application information for design modeling, analytical modeling, construction modeling, and asset performance modeling,” according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report by Joseph DiStefano.

Siemens LogoSiemens, which has offices in Malvern and already utilizes Bentley’s reality modeling software in its manufacturer production streamlining software, is jumping on board. This comes as Bentley teeters on the verge of an initial public offering, pending an improvement in software company prices, the article explained.

“This move further extends our industry software ecosystem from 2D to 3D software solutions,” Siemens Managing Board Member Klaus Helmrich said. “(Bentley’s) independence, track record in interoperability, and leadership in engineering and design software make them our ideal partner.”
