CCEDC Gathers County Business and Community Leaders for Annual Stakeholders Breakfast at The Desmond

Vince Liuzzi, Executive Vice President & Chief Banking Officer at DNB First Bank, addresses the 200 business and community leaders gathered Friday morning for CCEDC's annual Stakeholders Breakfast at The Desmond.

For the sixth time in as many years, the Chester County Economic Development Council gathered professionals from all over Chester County to receive and review the council’s annual report.

The Stakeholders Breakfast, which was held at the Desmond Hotel, is widely respected among Chester County residents as more or less a “state of the county” briefing.

And the news delivered Friday morning was resoundingly positive: Chester County’s scenic beauty, excellent educational institutions, companies, and emerging tech startups remain unmatched anywhere in the region.

“We all know Chester County is a great place to live and work. The reason for that is because of all of you,” Gary W. Smith said, addressing attendees.

“It’s the people who work here that make Chester County such a vibrant county.”

For a couple hours, business and community leaders spoke of success and growth. From the county’s enviable low unemployment rate, it’s bustling boroughs, to the challenges of developing a workforce to meet the needs of the future.
