West Chester Food Cupboard Wants to Ensure No Local Goes Hungry

People who live locally and find themselves struggling to pay the bills and buy food are encouraged to come to the West Chester Food Cupboard at 545 East Gay Street.

The Food Cupboard has fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, eggs, butter, cheese, frozen meat and fish, as well as cereal, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, rice, beans, sauces, canned goods, and so much more. Diapers, personal care items, dish soap, and laundry detergent are also available.

Satisfied clients have said:

People are encouraged to visit the West Chester Food Cupboard during client hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 AM and 2:00-4:00 PM, Wednesdays from 2:00-7:00 PM, Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 AM.

Proof of income is not required. Customers only need to complete a self-declaration of income, and provide their name and the names of other household members, as well as proof of address for each resident (such as a utility bill), and a telephone number.

Once signed up, individuals and families can come to the Cupboard once a month and select a wide range of food and other items at NO COST.

Because no one should go hungry.
