From as close as Chester County and as far as India and the Philippines, Bernardon’s new 2016 class of architectural designers is helping redraw the broad expert perspective of the Kennett Square firm.

“These designers and their varied backgrounds encompass a wide variety of unique skills and experience ranging from retail projects to healthcare facilities,” Principal Bill Holloway said. “They will be great assets to our firm and our growing client base.”

To date, Bernardon has hired Archit Pathak, Laura Ireson, Nicholas Lally, David Schlecht, Myrna Villanueva and Justin Gebhard.

Pathak hails from India and holds a master’s degree from Philadelphia University; he is a specialist in sustainable design that responds to ever-shifting ecological challenges and needs.

Chester County’s own Ireson is an interior designer with expertise in education- and healthcare-related institutional facilities.

Lally brings U.S. Green Building Council LEED certification to Bernardon from a New Jersey upbringing and Georgia Tech master’s education.

Schlecht is a residential, commercial and healthcare architect with 13 years of experience working on projects in Washington, D.C., Chicago and beyond.

Villanueva also came to Philadelphia University from overseas — the Philippines — and the senior designer has put her knowledge to work on healthcare, hospitality, retail and transportation buildings.

Philly veteran architect Gebhard is also LEED-certified and experienced in the fields of commercial, institutional and residential design.
