Bike Chester County to Host First Bike Ride Across Long-Awaited Sullivan’s Bridge

By

The completion of Sullivan's Bridge is a major milestone for the Schuylkill River Trail--and Chester County-area cyclists.

Bike Chester County LogoTo celebrate the opening, PennDOT is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Betzwood Trail Head on August 19th at 10:30 AM.

Seeing the unique opportunity this ceremony holds for the cycling community, Bike Chester County is organizing a bike ride to the ribbon cutting ceremony.  The ride will begin at the Pawlings Rd. Trailhead along the Schuylkill River Trail at 9:30 AM.

It is a 2.5 mile bike ride which will culminate at the ribbon cutting ceremony.  After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the group will ride across the bridge into Valley Forge.

All ages and levels of riders are welcome.  More information about the ride is here.
