Volunteers Needed for Strawberry Festival

Brandywine Strawberry Festival

Gandhi once said that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

Brandywine Strawberry FestivalWith that in mind, the Brandywine Health Foundation is looking for volunteers for this year’s Strawberry Festival, the four-day extravaganza that has become a staple of fun across the Chester County landscape and is a critical fundraiser that benefits the community in a myriad of ways.

Through the Sweeten-Up-A-Booth program, organizations/companies can showcase themselves in front of more than 25,000 people without having to pay any sponsorship fees. All they have to do is donate their time.

Each group will be assigned a booth to staff during the Festival. Typically, at least two people are needed at each booth while the Festival is open. Groups can “Sweeten Up a Booth” for one whole day, two days, or the entire weekend!

Volunteers can make up their own schedule, as long as the whole day has coverage with at least two people at all times. (Shifts are typically 2-3 hours.) Volunteers may display/wear buttons, hats, posters, flyers (approved in advance by the festival committee) promoting their organization at their booth.

In return, volunteers will receive free parking, a fashionable Strawberry Festival t-shirt, and most importantly, the satisfaction of being involved with a wonderful community event. Volunteer support has a transformative impact in the greater Coatesville area through the following beneficiaries: The Coatesville Youth Initiative, Coatesville Area Public Library, Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company, and the Coatesville Rotary Club. Together, they are helping to make the Coatesville area a healthy, safe, and vibrant community.

The Strawberry Festival is open

  • Thursday, June 2: 5:00 – 10:00 pm
  • Friday, June 3: 5:00 – 11:00 pm
  • Saturday, June 4: 12:00 – 11:00 pm
  • Sunday, June 5: 12:00 – 6:00 pm
