Brandywine to Start Development on Schuylkill Yards in 2018

Schuylkill Yards, the development from Brandywine Realty Trust in partnership with Drexel University, is expected to begin construction in the first half of 2018. The project will cost an estimated $3.5 billion for its six phases over a 20-year period and will create a mix of commercial, office, educational, residential, and other facilities, all surrounded by green spaces.

Newly Named Kennett Library Looks to Honor Bayard Taylor

From June 7th, the once Bayard Taylor Memorial Library and former Kennett Public Library will be known simply as the Kennett Library. The board vote to adopt the new name was followed by another unanimous vote to approve a resolution to honor and incorporate Bayard Taylor into the new library in a creative and long-lasting way.

After she discovered her fondness for cooking and inventing new and exciting healthy recipes, Malvern native Emily Scott, decided to trade her residency with the Orlando Ballet Company for cooking school. After honing her skill at several well-known restaurants, Malvern’s The Desmond among them, Scott is now bringing her creative energy to the dinner tables of West Chester and the Main Line with The Wildflower Chef.
