Saint John Vianney Promotes New President
A committed Saint John Vianney Center administrator has been promoted to chief caretaker of the Philly area’s struggling shepherds. David Shellenberger has been appointed president of the East Caln facility for behavioral health treatment of Catholic clergy and religious leaders of other Christian denominations.
Shellenberger has served Saint John Vianney since 2008 as chief nursing officer and then chief operating officer, and his local roots in health care administration stem back to Beaumont in Bryn Mawr and HCR ManorCare in Pottstown, according to a Daily Local News report by Ginger Dunbar.
“I am so happy that David Shellenberger has been chosen as president of Saint John Vianney Center. His love for the church and his compassionate professional skills make him the perfect choice to continue this great ministry,” now-President Emeritus Rev. James A. Flavin said in the article. “I look forward to collaborating with David as we begin SJVC’s 70th year of serving the clergy and religious.”
Shellenberger began his new duties on March 28.
