PR Specialist

This position serves as the spokesperson and press representative for the company. Responsibilities include responding promptly to daily inquiries from the news media and acting as an accessible, responsive, credible, quotable, and resourceful spokesperson. He/she will handle incoming calls in a timely manner and provide clear, candid, and accurate statements and/or background information to the media. The person will employ persuasion and influence skills effectively to maintain the company’s image, promote its funds and services, and advance its identified business and communications goals.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree – preferably in journalism, communications, or public relations – or have the equivalent work experience. He/she will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, with five in public relations or a related area performing similar responsibilities. The person should also have knowledge of the financial-services industry.

E-mail Project Lead

The position acts as project lead for e-mail campaigns, and identifies e-mail opportunities to deepen client relationships and increase online conversions. He/she will partner with internal clients to ensure web page and e-mail communications impacts are identified and understood, resources are assigned, and delivery dates defined. The person will collaborate with departments and team members involved with e-mail and event communications projects to ensure efficient delivery and high quality.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or have the equivalent combination of education and experience. He/she should have a minimum of three years of experience in e-mail and/or web design/HTML. Those with proofreading/editing backgrounds are strongly preferred. The person must also have a strong working knowledge of Adobe’s DreamWeaver and HTML.

Cloud Automation Engineer

This position will effectively develop cross-functional automation services for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings being delivered as part of the Vanguard Cloud Project. He/she will anticipate when services will be shared and how to best develop code that is highly reusable and dynamic. Other responsibilities include designing and coding with abstraction as a primary tenet, working collaboratively as part of team, and providing mentoring on automation, new languages, and cloud principles.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science-related field or have the equivalent combination of training and experience. He/she should have a minimum of five years of experience developing code. Public cloud expertise in either Azure or AWS is a strong plus. Experience with leading datacenter orchestration and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Salt is required.
