Platinum level award recipients are joined by Denise Day, CEO of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine at the 2015 Community Partners Recognition Breakfast at the Penn Oaks Golf Club on December 4.
The YMCA of Greater Brandywine hosted their 2015 Community Partners Recognition Breakfast on Friday to express their gratitude to 60 of their 225 community partners gathered at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester.
The important partnership between these corporations and the Y make it possible for local children to have somewhere safe to be after school, make memories in summer camp, learn vital water safety skills and take part in important character-building programs that otherwise would not be available to them.
Looking out at the 150 guests and partners gathered, Denise Day, CEO of YMCA of Greater Brandywine, commented that by the end of 2015, her organization, “will have awarded over $3 million dollars in assistance, money will help over 19,000 county residents who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate in YMCA programs.”
“Of that money, this group gathered here this morning contributed more that $1 million dollars,” Day said.
“Through your help,” Day continued, “we are able to offer affordable childcare allowing parents to have peace of mind knowing their child is in good hands as they work, water safety skills so their children are safe, early learning readiness so preschoolers are not behind when they get to school and safe and healthy Saturday afternoon and evening programs for teens.”
Concluding her brief remarks, Day remarked, “without your help and generosity we could not do the work we do, which is bring our mission alive for Chester County families who need us the most.”
