On Friday, join the Chadds Ford Historical Society for an annual favorite, the Great Pumpkin Carve. Co-sponsored by the Chadds Ford Historical Society and the Concordville Chadds Ford Rotary, The Great Pumpkin Carve is a treasured Chadds Ford tradition that began in the early 1970’s when Jimmy Lynch convinced the renowned artists Andrew and Jamie Wyeth to carve pumpkins for decorating. This open air festival features more than 60 local artists who carve huge pumpkins. Pumpkins will be lit and displayed at the end of the carving on Thursday night and then again on Friday and Saturday. All three nights, guests will enjoy live music, a haunted trail, raffle prizes, festival food, hayrides and fun activities.
On Saturday, head to the Lionville YMCA for Healthy Halloween Bash! Everyone’s invited for this FREE night of trick or treating, costume contest, games, haunted fun, crafts and healthy treats! Come in costume for a night of “spooktacular” fun! Bring your friends and don’t forget to bring your own trick or treat bag! Help families in need by donating a canned foot item at the Halloween event.
On Sunday, head to Fall Harvest Weekend at Highland Orchards. Fall Harvest Weekends include shuttle rides for pick your own in the Orchards, hayrides, kids korral, sand art, face painting and delicious barbeque!
