Craft Beer Pubs Keep Multiplying, Changing the Dining Landscape of Chester County
Craft beer is currently sweeping the suburbs, with some of the new brewpubs sprouting around Chester County and across the state, boosting the local economy by providing a great place to meet, high quality, value for money food, and great and unusual locally produced beers.
Six new brewpubs have opened in Chester County since 2014, with more than dozen more opening or planned to open across Philadelphia suburbs. Levante, Box Car, Victory At Magnolia, and Kennett Brewing Co., to name a few.
The increased interest across the nation is clear, as the production of craft beer in America has risen significantly with 12.2 million barrels brewed this year, as opposed to 6.4 million three years ago, according to data from the Brewers Association.
At the August 8th opening of Levante Brewing Company in West Chester, patrons told founders Eric Santostefano and Tim Floros that such an establishment was “the best thing that could’ve possibly happened to this neighborhood.”Â
