Florida Firm Acquires Brandywine Insurance Advisors

Patriot National, a Ft Lauderdale-based a national provider of comprehensive technology and outsourcing solutions within the property and casualty insurance marketplace, announced their acquisition of Devon-based Brandywine Insurance Advisors Tuesday.

The total purchase price is several million dollars if all criteria of the agreement are met. Brandywine will become part of Patriot subsidiary Trigen Insurance Solutions with Rennie Rodriguez, President of Brandywine Insurance Advisors staying on board with his team to continue running the business.

Rodriguez voiced his pleasure with the deal, noting “Joining forces with Patriot National presents an exciting opportunity to expand our expertise and carrier relationships across a national platform. Patriot has an outstanding reputation for navigating complex lines of insurance and our strength in construction will provide a highly complementary offering to their growing portfolio.”

Brandywine specializes in property and casualty, employee benefits and group captive business lines for construction and other industries.

With the acquisition, Patriot now has nine regional offices around the country providing services and solutions to employers, insurance agencies, local governments and reinsurance captives on a nationwide basis.

Steven M. Mariano, Patriot National’s CEO, shared his thoughts on the deal and the future possibilities it brings, sharing “The acquisition of Brandywine Insurance Advisors further broadens our base of commercial line insurance in specialty areas that require a distinct set of knowledge and expertise that is the hallmark of Patriot’s value proposition to its carrier clients. We plan to leverage our network of more than 1,600 agents to expand Brandywine’s surety and construction sector services offering on a nationwide basis.”
