English Proficient Specialist

Do you want to impact young people by teaching Communication skills? The Technical College High School in Jennersville, is looking for a Limited English Proficient Specialist. The Specialist will mainly be working with students who are limited in their English speaking and have trouble learning. The specialist will also be responsible for helping Perkins staff plus vocational academic teachers. The Specialist must be an exemplary model to these students by showing them positive characteristics.

The ideal candidate must be eloquent in both Spanish and English, and have bilingual tutorial experience and have a postsecondary and/or experience in multicultural education.

The TCHS is looking for someone who is able to start at the beginning of the 2015 school year. This full time position is 185 days during the school year and the work hours are from 7:30-3:00 PM. The salary range for this 10 month position is $41,240.00-$51,550.

Hearing Support Teachers

Hear ye, hear ye! Calling all hearing specialists. There are four Summer Hearing Support teacher positions available at the CCIU Educational Service Center in Downingtown. The applicant will be responsible for providing hearing support to students who are deaf/hearing impaired.

Interested candidates for this temporary summer position which pays $60.00 an hour, must have a valid certification in teaching deaf/hearing impaired students. Applicant must be able to pass the normal clearance regulations for working with children. The CCIU, upon hire, will conduct a clearance as an MA provider that is given by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government.

Speech Language Therapist

A full-time position is currently open for a speech/language therapist who will be working in a specialized educational setting. The therapist will be responsible for providing speech/language therapy services and completing evaluations. The qualified applicant will also be responsible for updating paperwork for a caseload of complex need students.

Candidates must have a valid Pennsylvania certification as a Speech and Language Therapist, a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders, and be Clinical Competence certified. The applicant must be able to pass normal clearance regulations required to work with children.

The primary location for this position is to be determined. The work schedule for this full-time position is 7.5 hours a day, Monday-Friday, 194 days per year. The salary range for this position is $48, 814 to $97, 610 depending on experience and education level.
