The positive and life-changing reach of two of Chester County’s most active health- and youth-focused nonprofits will extend even further with the recent merger of the Brandywine Valley and Upper Main Line YMCAs and the addition of six more respected leaders to the 32-person board of the now-combined YMCA of Greater Brandywine.

“We are excited and honored to welcome these talented business leaders to our board,” President and CEO Denise L. Day said in a Chadds Ford Live article. “Their diverse experience and commitment to serving others will inspire our organization as we work together to improve the lives of children, families and adults throughout Chester County.”

Newly named to the board were Key Financial President Patricia C. Brennan, QVC Vice President of Corporate Communications and Community Affairs Paul Capelli, Gobel Group CEO and Founder Chad Gobel, former Barra Foundation President William Harral III, Gawthrop Greenwood Partner Sandra L. Knapp and Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital President Donna M. Phillips.
