Terry Woodman has been chosen as the winner of the annual Larry Boling Award, set to be presented by the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry at its State of the County Address Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center on April 8.

“In January 2001, Terry joined East Whiteland Township as township manager and hit the ground running,” the chamber stated in a recent announcement. “She took on projects with multi-regional impacts, such as the widening and rebuilding of Section 300 of U.S. 202 and the design and construction of a new turnpike interchange at Route 29. She has also worked with developers on the widening of Route 29 north of Great Valley Parkway and the widening of Route 401.”

In addition to Woodman’s foresight and innovative leadership, the retiring township manager has been a strong community advocate through her service as vice chairman of the Malvern Federal Savings Bank Board of Directors and as a board member of the Transportation Management Assoc. of Chester County (TMACC), the Chester County Water Resources Authority and the Woodlynde School.
