Wyeth Art To Be Included In Inaugural Show At State Museum Of Pennsylvania

Friday, Feb. 13 is a free admission day at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, which plans to exhibit the best of Pennsylvania art and artists in an exhibition titled “Inaugural Exhibit of Pennsylvania Arts.”

Works from the Wyeth family and the Brandywine River Museum will be among the 55 pieces from 40 institutions. There will also be art from the Barnes Foundation, the Andy Warhol Museum, the Carnegie Museum of Art and the State Museum. The show, assembled by Gov. Tom Wolf’s Inaugural Committee, runs through Sunday, Feb. 15.

The State Museum of Pennsylvania, adjacent to the State Capitol in Harrisburg, is one of 25 historic sites and museums administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission as part of the Pennsylvania Trails of History®.
