United Way Seeks Sponsors For Their Color 5K Thorndale Event

By

United Way of Chester County is casting their nets hoping to land two new sponsors for their very popular Live United In Color 5K run and walk.

2.1.2015 Live United WalkLast May’s Live United In Color 5K race, held in Thorndale Township along Route 30 in Western Chester County, sold out at 900 participants and raised over $25,000, monies the United Way invested in programs and services through its Community Investment Fund.

The event is an untimed 5K run/walk fundraiser designed to be fun, raise money for much needed community programs, and promote people getting active. At each kilometer or so, participants are doused with a colored powder in a fun and friendly atmosphere!

Back by popular demand again this year, the event is scheduled for Sunday April 26th beginning at 2:00 PM.

The trouble is while most of the race’s 2014 sponsors renewed their support and even increased their contribution, two sponsors choose not sign up again.

Sponsors of the event include Brandywine Hospital, Caln Township, SABIC, Comcast, Citadel, Will Anderson with State Farm Insurance, Gateway Medical Associates, YMCA Camp Tockwogh located in Maryland.

That void leaves room for two new companies to step up and become sponsors of the United Way high exposure event.

Interested parties should reach out to Chris Saello at United Way of Chester County via telephone at (610) 429-9400 or email at chris.saello@unitedwaychestercounty.org.
