Christine Simeone To Keynote Annual Chester County Economic Development Council Energy Briefing

By

Insights into this year’s energy markets, policies and opportunities will be highlighted by Christine Simeone when The Smart Energy Initiative and the Chester County Economic Development host their third annual energy briefing on Friday, Feb. 27.

Simeone, deputy director of the Kleinman Energy Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania, will also give updates on the region’s energy players.

The event is set for 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Chester County Economic Development Council, 737 Constitution Drive, Exton. Program cost is $25 and registrations details are at SmartEnergyPa.org.

“The annual Energy Briefing is the CCEDC’s follow-up to our Economic Outlook, and will provide high-level insight into the upcoming year in energy”, says Will Williams, CCEDC technology and program coordinator, “realizing that energy is one of those things that every business needs, we want to provide objective information on what can be a volatile and controversial issue.”

Prior to joining the Kleinman Energy Policy Center, Simeone was director of the PennFuture Energy Center for Enterprise and the Environment, where she focused on energy and climate issues impacting Pennsylvania. Simeone was the policy director for former Vice President Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection and was recently appointed co-chair of the transition review committee at the Department of Environmental Protection in Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration.
