Yahoo Food sent a team to capture one of Chester County’s most valuable exports: mushrooms. They visited Phillips Mushroom Farms in Kennett Square in order to learn exactly how industrial mushroom farming works and made this video:

Sales of organic mushrooms are still on the upswing at Phillips Mushroom Farms, according to a news story in The Produce News.

Kevin Donovan, Phillips’ national sales manager, is quoted as saying white mushrooms are still the top sellers, but demand for brown mushrooms such as baby bellas and portabellas is also growing.
