Unsold Christmas trees have been transformed from heaps of waste to a winter wonderland at Linvilla Orchards in nearby Media, and the creative Linvilla Recycled Tree Maze has not only been a great help for the environment but also a boon for business.

In addition to drawing local families out for a fun outing, the new half-hour- or hour-long attraction has pulled in the attention of viewers across the nation through TV spots on major networks like PHL17 and even The Travel Channel, which aired a feature on the tree maze for its Xtreme Xmas show.

“The maze is perfect for a family outing or an afternoon with friends in addition to all the other entertaining activities happening at Linvilla this winter,” the orchard noted on its blog. “The maze is outdoors, but don’t let the cold deter you. Warm up by playing an educational round of miniature golf inside the new garden center or grab a bite at the garden center cafe.”

The maze is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through March 1, when the “trees will be chipped and used as fuel to heat the greenhouse where the miniature golf course, Fore! the Planet, is located.”
