Buying stray lots with tough topology, typically at the end of a cul-de-sac in a nice neighborhood, a small friends-of-the-family investment and parents willing to co-sign a loan so he could get financing for his first construction project, was all Todd Pohlig needed in 1974 to launch a custom home construction business that would become Pohlig Builders.

Of course it didn’t hurt that his brother Don, already in the home construction business, was ready to help him frame the house and oversee construction.

Together the Delaware County natives formed the Malvern-based Pohlig Builders, a firm specializing in the design and construction or renovation of “luxury homes and communities on the Philadelphia Main Line, New Jersey shore and beyond.”

Their partnership has resulted in close to 500 luxury Main Line homes designed, built or renovated.
