Precyse Praised by Industry for Leading Medical Documentation Improvements

By

Precyse, the Wayne health information management firm, recently earned high praise from Klas Research for its Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) services.

Klas Research aims to improve healthcare technology delivery by accurately and impartially measuring vendor performance.  Precyse’s CDI services topped other firms in the Klas report titled “CDI Services 2014: Providing Light to Documentation Darkness.”

Precyse offers computer-assisted coding and clinical documentation improvement solutions, and scored well above market average for training and software.

Precyse and its online Precyse University are incorporating people, processes and technology as the firm prepares health care providers in transitioning from ICD-9 (standard International Classification of Diseases coding) to newer ICD-10.

Ramping up to the new coding has caused controversy within the medical profession, and many have found the changes to be difficult and inconvenient.

Chris Powell, CEO of Precyse, said the company’s portfolio of education, consulting and technology are helping customers succeed through a very challenging time in the history of healthcare.

New ICD-10 diagnostic and procedural codes are expected to go into effect Oct. 1, 2015.

Precyse has worked with nearly 5,000 healthcare companies during the past decade.
