Lawmakers Offer A Little Perspective On The Popularity Of Pressing Issues At Chamber Breakfast

By

Taxpayers have a lot to say to legislators about the services they want, but very few of them are interested in paying the bill, state Sen. Dominic Pileggi told West Chester Regional Chamber of Commerce members members during a recent breakfast meeting, as reported by the Daily Local News.

Pileggi and fellow legislators Sen. Andrew Dinniman and Rep. Dan Truitt talked about both popular and unpopular issues at the Concord Country Club.

Among them were big budget items like education, including the possible removal of testing as a graduation requirement, and big talk about small budget items, like the  0.09 percent of the budget that corporate stock taxes make up, as well as pension reform and Chester County as a bull’s-eye for natural gas pipelines.
